Zucchini, otherwise known as courgette in the United Kingdom, is a summer squash which can reach almost a meter in length.
They can be light green or dark green in color.
There is also a hybrid that is a deep yellow or orange color.

As you can see, zucchini contains a little calcium, quite a lot of sugar, a hint of salt and fat.
This means that some hamsters can eat it but others unfortunately can’t.

However, only feed to them in small amounts on an occasional basis due to its calcium and sugar content.
Give them small pieces that they can hold in their paws comfortably.
It is best fed raw for them.

It is too sweet for them to eat as they are prone to diabetes and will harm them if they do eat it unfortunately.
