Wheat is a cereal grain, originally from the Levant region of the Near East but now cultivated worldwide.

Wheat was the second most-produced cereal in 2009; world production in that year was 682 million tons.

So can hamsters eat wheat?
It isn’t a good idea to feed them wheat picked from fields as it may contain parasites because they may harm a hamster.
However, generally wheat products are fine for them to eat as long as they don’t contain additional flavorings or additives.
