As you can see peanuts contain quite a bit of calcium, a lot of phosphorus, a lot of acidic content and fat.

This means that they can eat one or two peanuts but not too many due to the content that they contain.

However, the shells are not good for them and should be stripped away before feeding a peanut to them. There is a risk that they could catch in their throats as they are quite jagged when they break up.
