Last updated August 16th, 2016. Breadsticks are pencil-like sticks of dry, crisp bread.
They originate in the vicinity of Turin in northern Italy.
Breadsticks are usually offered at the table in restaurants as an appetizer.
They may also be combined with ingredients such as prosciutto as an hors d’œuvre.
Breadsticks can even topped with garlic sauces and Parmesan cheese when served as appetizers.
They can also be used as a dessert item, and are often topped with cinnamon sugar and icing. (source)
So can hamsters eat breadsticks?
Yes they can nibble them but they have nutritional value for them.
They are a useful food for them to chew on though and won’t harm them if they are eaten.
But because they hold no nutritional value for them, it is recommended that they don’t eat too much.
